Doran Top (English)

€5.00

Doran Top is the perfect cropped summer top – it is seamless and light, with a built-in i-cord around the shoulders and armholes. Unique to this top are the cute, embroidered flowers that really help you to personalize the piece and add your own character. The recommended ease is neutral ease around the chest and 10 cm of positive ease around the waist.

Inspiration behind this top comes from my childhood home. The pond on my parent’s farm is called Doran Lake, and I would spend so many days wandering the forest and walking around the lake as a little girl, looking at the blanket of trilliums and other wildflowers. Inspiration also comes from a photo of me as a 4-year-old, wearing a cropped 90’s tank top with subtle pastel flowers. The cherry on top is that my grandmother, before the war, had a silkworm farm – designing this top using Pure Silk truly does bring this summer piece full-circle for me.
